Giving parishes clear visibility into Annual Appeal progress

Organization Size

The Situtation

Parishes needed a clearer view of their Annual Appeal progress

Each parish participating in the Archdiocese’s Annual Appeal works toward an individual fundraising goal.

The Development Office held the underlying donation and campaign information, but parish leaders needed an easier way to understand how their own parish was progressing without relying on manually prepared updates.

The opportunity was to make existing fundraising information more useful to the people responsible for acting on it.

The Constraints

Parish leaders needed useful information without broad access to Development Office data

The Archdiocese already had centralized fundraising data in Salesforce, but simply exposing that information more widely was not appropriate.

Parishes needed visibility into their own results while maintaining appropriate boundaries around donor and fundraising information.

The reporting also needed to be simple enough that parish users could quickly understand performance without needing to interpret complex Salesforce reports.

Meribah Flow's Approach

Turn centralized fundraising data into a parish-facing view

Meribah Flow worked with the Archdiocese to create an Annual Appeal dashboard that translated Salesforce fundraising data into a clear view of parish performance.

The dashboard allowed participating parishes to see their progress against their individual Annual Appeal fundraising goal while drawing from the same centralized data used by the Development Office.

Rather than creating another reporting process outside Salesforce, the solution made existing information directly useful to parish users.

Outcome

Clearer parish visibility into campaign progress

Clearer parish visibility into campaign progress

01

Clear progress toward parish goals

Parishes can see how their Annual Appeal results compare with their individual fundraising target. This gives parish leaders a straightforward way to understand where they stand during the campaign.

02

Less reliance on manual progress reporting

Parish users can access the information they need without waiting for individually prepared updates. The Development Office can share current campaign performance through the platform rather than relying only on separate reports and follow-up communication.

03

One shared view of campaign performance

The Archdiocese and participating parishes can work from the same underlying fundraising data. Centralized information helps reduce conflicting versions of campaign performance and creates a more consistent basis for conversations about progress.

Reflection

Better access to existing information can be as valuable as building something entirely new

The Annual Appeal dashboard did not require another standalone fundraising system.

Instead, it made information already held in Salesforce more visible, understandable and useful to parish leaders.

The project reinforced a simple principle: when the right people can see the right information at the right time, a shared platform becomes more valuable to the entire organization.
